Usability study conducted on a group of about 230 people
Images that appear in the middle of the page, a spot for advertisements, are considered "obstacles" and annoying. The usability study was conducted on a group of about 230 people. Participants were asked to surf the Web to their own destinations. They were also given tasks such as finding out how to tie a bowline knot and researching getting a mortgage. Participants carried out these tasks while a camera tracked the pupil as the eye engaged what was on the screen.

Lawsuit against Google dropped by Jeffrey Toback himself
Jeffrey Toback said last Thursday he dropped the lawsuit because "Google has offered to sit down and discuss the issues. They didn't want to do that while litigation was pending, so we're taking them up on their offer." He said a meeting would be scheduled with Google officials "at their earliest convenience" to discuss what he termed "very serious issues."
