Google Base: is Google heading down the wrong path?
Its is very disheartening to see now Google directing traffic to
their own product right on top of the natural listings. I think
Google is heading down the wrong road with this addition to the
SERPS.” Members of Threadwatch also remind us that Reality is only

Google launches new keyword research tool for its AdWords PPC program
Google’s keyword research tool is now feature rich, shows seasonal
data, data by match type and the data is even easy to export. As
Google, Yahoo and MSN jocky for position you can bet that their
keyword research tools are only going to get better, although I

Relevant content when checking email
Yahoo Mail beta users can read RSS feeds by clicking on the
'All RSS Feeds' icon, which appears below the user's e-mail
folders. This automatically provides users with access to full posts
- whether from their personalized My Yahoo page, a selection of
the most popular feeds or favourite feeds that they manually enter.
In addition, many popular aspects of Canadian sites such as
macleans.ca, globeandmail.com, and moneysense.ca are already included
in the RSS reader, enabling Canadian Yahoo Mail users to read the
content that is most relevant to them while checking their e-mail.

Now Yahoo Finance has competition: Google Finance
Yahoo Finance has a large and loyal following. Other financial news
sites are Marketwatch.com and TheStreet.com. Asaf Buchner, a
financial services analyst at JupiterResearch, said advanced features
and an easy-to-use interface could help Google compete with rivals
that have been around much longer. "I think they saw that Yahoo Finance
plays an important role in consumers' decisions on buying and selling
stocks, and I think it has significant traffic," he said.

Are Google's policing efforts penalizing websites?
KinderStart's lawsuit alleges Google's policing efforts have
penalized Web sites that have done nothing wrong. To make matters
worse, the suit alleges the banished sites can't determine how they
can restore their standings because the company doesn't explain its
actions.
