One year ago, it eliminated fees on its own auction platform and serves up its paid-search
advertisements on Yahoo Auction search results. It must be jumping up and down at the thought
of putting its ads on eBay.com. This is an incredibly lucrative deal for Yahoo.

Google's Larry Page and Eric Schmidt talk to reporters
Google's Eric Schmidt pointed out that advertising targeted for web searches only account
for 0.5 per cent of the market. "Our category of advertising is showing 50 to 100 per cent growth.
Other categories are not growing. Market share [for web search advertising] will never be 100
per cent, but I can imagine 5, 10, 15 or 20 per cent."
