Google has invested money in broadband developer Current Communications Group
Google has invested in several companies developing alternatives for delivering broadband services. One
of these investments is in Current Communications Group, which uses a technology called broadband over
power line to deliver Internet access over the nation's electrical power grid. Nevill-Manning
denied that the company's new office will be used for anything other than software development and
sales efforts. "We have no plans to build a data center here," he said. "We plan to fill this office
with people, not machines. It's kind of expensive real estate for a data center."

Busloads of people take pictures of the garage where Google was born
The busloads of people that show up to take pictures of the house and garage have become
such an annoyance that Google asked The Associated Press not to publish the property's address,
although it can easily be found on the Internet using the company's search engine. Google may
use the home as a guest house, but nothing definitive has been worked out. "We plan to preserve
the property as a part of our living legacy," said Google spokesman Jon Murchinson.
